Skincare Gift Box - Cocoa Balm and Butter

Both of these vegan skincare products by Sama Skincare are handmade in Exeter, Devon and contain the finest natural ingredients to protect, soften and moisturise your skin.

Cocoa Passion Body Butter is a light butter with a beautiful floral and relaxing scent. The body butter contains:

* Passionfruit Oil - a very light oil with a quick absorption rate and an excellent moisturiser. The oil is high in Vitamin C, which helps the production of collagen and elastin, and Vitamin A, which promotes healthy skin cell turnover meaning a brighter, fresher complexion and reduced fine lines

* Cocoa Butter has an amazing chocolate smell. It increases skin cell regeneration, protects the skin, and locks in moisture (meaning more hydrated skin). It also has a high Vitamin E content which softens and smoothes the skin, and is rich in anti-oxidants. I use a premium organic unrefined version in my skincare products, which has a richer, natural, more chocolate-like scent. The unrefined butter increases the skin conditioning properties with a higher level of vitamins and natural minerals. Cocoa butter is obtained from either whole cacao beans or chocolate liquor (also known as cocoa liquor)

* Shea Butter is nourishing, softening, regenerating and moisturising for the skin. Shea contains Vitamin E, Pro-vitamin A and Vitamin F, with Vitamin F being the rejuvenator for the skin. I use an organic refined version of the butter in this skincare product, which is a natural fat extracted from the seed of the African Shea tree in Burkina Faso, Sudan

* Lavender essential oil is a fantastic oil for relaxation and general well-being due to its calming fragrance. It is soothing, softening and healing for skin. I use an organic version originating from France

* Geranium essential oil is a rosy and floral oil that is uplifting, calming and an anti-depressant. My oil is sourced from Madagascar

* Ylang Ylang essential oil is sweet and floral, promoting calmness and relaxation and combatting anxiety. I use an Extra version from Comoros, East Africa, which is of the highest quality. It is from the first oil drawn from the flowers, picked whilst the dew is still on the flower

* This natural skincare product also contains Vitamin E and Ester which are both very beneficial for skin. Vitamin E not only has anti-ageing properties, but also protects oils in the product, prolonging its shelf-life. Ester helps the product to be smooth on the skin. Cornstarch is also included

How to use:

Apply to the body with your fingers and massage into the skin

Coco Protect Dual Balm for eyebrows and lips helps dry and chapped lips, acts as a natural smoother for tidying eyebrows up, and has a fresh peppermint scent. The balm contains:

* Coconut Oil is an extremely softening, moisturising and hydrating oil that is great for dry, chapped skin, and for nourishing and protecting skin and hair. I use the cold-pressed, refined version in this product. The oil is made by pressing dried coconut meat called copra

* Jojoba Oil is very special as it is really a wax! The liquid wax is produced in the seed of the Jojoba plant. It is fast-absorbing, provides protection against UVB rays, and moisturises and hydrates, helping skin to be soft and smooth. It is unique as it has a natural composition that makes it highly compatible with human skin, and is the closest plant substance to mimic the sebum (an oily substance produced by our body) naturally found in human skin. The jojoba I use in this skincare product originates from Egypt

* Mango Butter is light, absorbs quickly into the skin, and has excellent moisturising properties. It is full of natural anti-oxidants, and is helpful in protecting skin from the weather and UV radiation. The butter is extracted from the seed of the mango fruit

* Candelilla Wax is thick, protective, and absorbs into the skin easier than beeswax. It is great for dry and chapped skin as it is hydrating and moisturising. Candelilla wax is plant-derived (vegan alternative to beeswax) and has been used for over 100 years in skincare products. The wax is derived from the leaves of the Candelilla shrub native to Mexico and southwestern USA. They are placed in a mix of water and sulphuric acid to extract the wax. Heat is applied and the wax comes to the surface where it is collected and known as the "paila"

* Mitcham Peppermint essential oil is uplifting, cooling and fresh. This variety of Peppermint is associated with the peppermint found in chocolate and therefore has chocolaty undertones

* This vegan product also contains Vitamin E which is very beneficial for skin. It not only has anti-ageing properties, but also protects oils in the product, prolonging its shelf-life
