Head Balm Carrot & Peppermint 30g

Soothe your sore head with Carrot & Peppermint Head Balm by Sama Skincare. Handmade in Exeter, Devon, this is a high quality balm for the head and temples which is light and softening for your skin and contains:

* Carrot Tissue Oil softens and smoothes the skin, moisturises and helps to alleviate inflammation. It is great for sensitive skin, and rich in antioxidant pro-Vitamin A, beta carotene, which helps to repair the signs of aging

* Sunflower Seed Oil is rich in Vitamins A, D and E. It has anti-inflammatory and regenerating activity and helps to alleviate irritated skin, with softening and nourishing qualities. It is rich in linoleic acid (omega 6) which supports skin barrier function and repair, and retains moisture

* Mango Butter is light, absorbs quickly into the skin, and has excellent moisturising properties. It is full of natural anti-oxidants, and is helpful in protecting skin from the weather and UV radiation. The butter is extracted from the seed of the mango fruit

* Candelilla Wax is thick, protective, and absorbs into the skin easier than beeswax. It is great for dry and chapped skin as it is hydrating and moisturising. Candelilla wax is plant-derived (vegan alternative to beeswax) and has been used for over 100 years in skincare products. The wax is derived from the leaves of the Candelilla shrub native to Mexico and southwestern USA. They are placed in a mix of water and sulphuric acid to extract the wax. Heat is applied and the wax comes to the surface where it is collected and known as the "paila"

* Lavender essential oil is a fantastic oil for relaxation and general well-being due to its calming fragrance. It is soothing, softening and healing for skin. I use an organic version originating from France in this natural skincare product

* Mitcham Peppermint essential oil is uplifting, cooling and fresh. This variety of Peppermint is associated with the peppermint found in chocolate and so it has chocolaty undertones. The essential oil is made by steam distilling from the flowering tops and leaves of the peppermint plant in England

* This vegan skincare product also contains Vitamin E which is very beneficial for skin. It not only has anti-ageing properties, but also protects oils in the product, prolonging its shelf-life

How to use:

Apply to the forehead and temples with your fingers and massage into the skin.
